There’s no better way to learn any craft or skill than to “learn from the masters”. The game of chess is well over 1,000 years old, and it’s been said over and over there has been more literature published about chess than any other sport or game. Most of these books contain documentation of games or portions of games that have been played. Entire libraries of classic games that have been played by former world champions and other world-class players have been compiled for study. An example of this is My Great Predecessors by Garry Kasparov, a world champion who was dominant in the 1980s and 1990s.
But to whet your appetite for “the classics”, we have provided a few examples for you right here!
